The hosts

Skier
Haglebu Fjellstue has been privately owned since the early 1960s.
Ester and Eilev Medalen built the place. In addition to the cafeteria, they ran a camp school for many years.
There are probably many adults today who can remember the good days at the Camp School at Haglebu Fjellstue.
Their son Jarle Medalen, his wife Kari and their children Kjersti and Sindre took over the place in 1982. The camp school was run until the spring of 1987. In 1987, Jarle and his family decided to move back to Oslo
Vesla and Oddbjørn Olsen took over the Fjellstue in 1988.
They demolished all the rooms that had been used for the camp school and created a multi-purpose hall.
In addition, Oddbjørn set up two old log cabins that became a very pleasant pub and party room.
One of the cabins is from Vesla’s family, i.e. Medalen, and has been named Medalstuen.
In 1991, Campingplassen Flenta was established and currently has approximately 125 year-round places.
The cabins were built in the early 90s.
Morten Olsen bought Haglebu Fjellstue in 2002 from his parents.
After many years of operation, Morten decided in 2014 that he would rather operate outside with everything that makes noise (machinery) and cabin service.
Sister Mona Olsen took the challenge head on, and took over the operation and is currently the operator of Fjellstue.
