Welcome to our family-run mountain hotel. Venabu is known for its inclusive atmosphere and good food. We specialize in offering activity holidays with a main focus on outdoor activities.
At Venabu Fjellhotell you can expect to stay comfortably, eat healthy and tasty, homemade food, and be included in a warm and cozy atmosphere. We want to be a place you come to relax and recharge your batteries.
Our living room has an open fireplace, and seating areas where you can choose to enjoy some alone time, or get to know others. In the evenings you can play one of our board games, read a book in the mountain hotel’s library, or have a drink at the bar. During the high season, our musician plays the grand piano in the afternoons and evenings. Coffee/tea is always included when staying at Venabu Fjellhotell, and we have a large selection of different types of tea in bulk and bags. Venabu also has a coffee shop where you can order various coffee drinks or cocoa.

The hosts
Venabu’s motto has always been “friendliness and helpfulness”, which we still adhere to. Our employees are committed to taking the time to talk to each and every guest, whether you meet us at the reception, the stables, the restaurant or in the hallways. Venabu has been run by the Tvete couple and their descendants since the beginning. Today, the hotel is run by their youngest daughter Line Birgitte Tvete.

Opening hours: The hotel is open all year round and only closes on certain weekdays in May and November. The cabins are available for rent every day of the year.
Venabu Fjellhotell og Hytter is located on the mountain pass between Østerdalen and Gudbrandsdalen, south of Rondane National Park. You can easily travel to us by car, bus or train.
